Kids should feel free to really get their hands dirty during arts and crafts activities, so put them (and yourself) at ease by covering the table and putting them in old clothes. If kids’ painting activities go off the paper then use OMO to help you clean up afterwards.

Getting creative is a great bonding experience for both you and the kids. Make it a family activity by picking crafts that kids of all ages can get involved with. Kids’ painting, for example, can even be a toddler-friendly activity. Just make sure they’re supervised at all times.

Getting creative will set your kids’ imaginations on fire, and making something from scratch will give them a great sense of achievement. Arts and crafts can also develop your child’s fine motor skills, problem solving and social skills.

It might feel counter-intuitive, but try to avoid giving direction. Instead, allow your child to express themselves and explore their own ideas. In a family activity using crafts, let everyone go at their own pace and don’t compare the end results.
