Homemade Halloween Costumes for Kids

With Halloween just around the corner, it's time to start thinking about costumes. We've gathered our favorite kids' costumes to inspire you and the little ones.

Little Lambs

Their fleece is made from cotton wool balls gathered and sewn onto a leotard which is worn over a long-sleeved shirt and leggings. The hat is a beanie with floppy felt ears and, to finish it off, a little dot of face-paint for the nose. Click here for the full how-to guide:

Spring chicken

This costume is made of two feather boas, ordinary yellow kitchen gloves, yellow stockings and a swimming cap with a felt comb. Under all of the feathers, your little one can wear a leotard. Click here for the full how-to guide:

Outer Space

All that you need is some plain dark clothing and some brightly coloured cardboard – it’s as easy as that!

Hula Girls

The swinging skirts are made from rope-style mop heads and the leis are made of coloured gift bows.  If you really want to get clever, you can make a ukulele from a recycled cereal box, a paper towel tube and rubber bands.

Tulip and Rose

An easy to make crepe-paper tulip cap and rosebud headband can turn a mom and daughter into a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Click here for the full how-to guide:

Once the festivities are over, and you realise that your kids have managed to get a few stains on their clothing thanks to all those trick-or-treat goodies, make stain removal easier with OMO laundry detergent and auto washing powder.
