Create a chart for your child of all the things he or she can do each week to keep the planet green and to conserve resources
Put a green crayon check next to each item if your child does it
At the end of the week, count up how many things your child did to help the environment
Here are some items to put on the chart:
Putting out lights when not in use
Not letting water run when brushing teeth
Trying not to waste paper
Helping to recycle plastic, glass and newspaper
Keeping the neighborhood clean by picking up trash (be sure your child wears gloves to do this and washes hands carefully when finished)
