PROMOTIONAL COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS


1. These Terms

1.1 These Promotional Competition Terms & Conditions for the OMO Back To School Promotional Competition 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the “Competition”) set out the basis for participating in the Promotional Competition.

1.2 By entering or participating in the Competition, you agree to these Promotional Competition Terms & Conditions.

1.3 All personal information supplied by participants as part of this Promotional Competition will be processed in accordance with Unilever South Africa’s Privacy Policy, available at: www.unilever.co.za


2. Promotional Competition Details

2.1 Promoter

2.2 Promotional Competition / How to Enter

Name: OMO Back To School Promotional Competition 2025

Promotion: Buy any OMO product (participating products) and stand a chance to WIN your share of R500 000 in school fees and instant prizes.

Instant prizes include:

  • Stationery vouchers

  • Sports gear vouchers

  • OMO-branded stationery

  • OMO-branded merchandise

Grand Prize:

  • 100 winners will each receive R5 000 cash towards school fees

To enter:

  • Buy any OMO product

  • Take a photo of your till slip

  • WhatsApp the slip to the designated number


2.3 Opening and Closing Date for Entries

  • Opening date: 15 December 2025

  • Closing date: 31 March 2026

Any entries received outside the competition period will not be considered.


2.4 Entry Instructions

Participants must:

  • Purchase any OMO product (participating products) from participating retailers nationwide

  • WhatsApp the till slip with the keyword “OMO” to the designated number

  • Follow the prompts to upload the purchase slip

  • Keep the original till slip as proof of purchase

Each entry must be linked to a new, valid transaction.


2.5 Prizes

Instant prizes include:

  • Stationery vouchers

  • Sports gear vouchers

  • OMO-branded stationery

  • OMO-branded merchandise


2.6 Grand Prize

  • 100 winners will each receive R5 000 cash towards school fees


2.7 Selection and Notification of Winners

  • Entries are reviewed for validity after successful completion of the WhatsApp journey

  • All valid entries are entered into the grand prize draw

  • Weekly random audited draws will be conducted during the competition period

  • Winners will be notified via WhatsApp

  • Finalists must verify their details to be declared winners

  • The Promoter will attempt contact once daily for five (5) consecutive working days

  • If contact is unsuccessful, the prize will be forfeited and another finalist selected

  • Prizes will be delivered via SMS or email within ten (10) working days of verification


2.8 Entrant Requirements

  • Open to South African citizens or permanent residents

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must have a valid identity document


2.9 Excluded Entrants

The following may not enter:

  • Directors, members, employees, agents, consultants, or service providers of the Promoter

  • Immediate family members, spouses, life partners, or business partners of the above

  • Juristic entities


3. Promotional Competition Basis

3.1 The Competition is:

  • Open to those meeting the entrant requirements

  • Not open to excluded entrants

3.2 Participants must follow the entry instructions.

3.3 Only one entry per receipt is permitted unless otherwise stated. Entries may not be generated automatically or fraudulently.

3.4 Only one prize may be won per participant or group.


4. Entries

4.1 Entries that are incomplete, late, corrupted, or non-compliant may be disqualified.

4.2 Any submitted materials must:

  • Be suitable for public access

  • Not contain offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content

  • Only reference Unilever brands unless incidental

  • Be original or used with permission

  • Contain third-party names or likenesses only with written consent


5. Responsibility for Entries

Participants:

  • Must have authority to enter on behalf of others

  • Must not tamper with or misuse the Competition

  • Agree to indemnify the Promoter against losses caused by breach of these terms

The Promoter is not responsible for lost entries or submission costs.


6. Winners

  • Winners will be notified as set out above

  • Unclaimed prizes may be reallocated

  • The Promoter’s decision is final

  • No correspondence will be entered into unless requested


7. Prizes

  • Proof of identity may be required

  • Prizes are awarded “as is”

  • Winners are responsible for any costs, taxes, or obligations related to the prize

  • Prizes may be substituted for equal or greater value

  • Disqualified winners must return prizes if already received


8. Publicity

Winners may be requested to participate in publicity. Participation is voluntary. If accepted, winners grant the Promoter a perpetual, worldwide licence to use related media.


9. Miscellaneous

  • The Competition is not sponsored or endorsed by third parties

  • The English version of these terms prevails

  • The Promoter may disqualify fraudulent entries

  • The Promoter may amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition without notice

  • No liability is accepted for losses arising from participation or prize use


10. Governing Law and Disputes

10.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

10.2 The Competition is conducted in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
